Therapy for Working Moms, By a Working Mom

Hi, I’m Morgan.

I’m a psychologist serving anxious and burned out working moms in North Carolina.

If you’re here, I’d take a guess that you might be feeling like…

  • …you love your kids and your job, but you're exhausted.

  • …you’re drowning under the weight of your mental load.

  • …you feel guilty no matter where you are.

  • …you’re constantly thinking about what you forgot or what’s next.

  • …you should be happy, but something still feels off.

  • …you’re successful, but constantly feel like you’re failing.

If you’re used to being the one who holds everything together, it can feel hard to ask for support. But you don’t have to navigate this alone.

As a psychologist, I help working moms in all stages of their parenting and career journey understand their anxiety, manage stress and intrusive thoughts, and feel more calm and less alone in carrying the mental load. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to the unique pressures faced by professional women balancing motherhood and work. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and learn practical tools to feel more focused on what truly matters to you.

Therapy may help you to…

Better manage anxious or intrusive thoughts

Have you noticed how hard it is to stay mentally present with your family when your mind is preoccupied with work? Or how anxious, intrusive thoughts about your kids can surface while you’re trying to focus on your job? In therapy, we’ll work together to understand the patterns driving your anxiety and practice practical strategies to help you navigate anxious moments more effectively.

Live according to your values

Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and the constant demands of work and family can make it hard to live in a way that reflects what you value most. In therapy, we’ll work collaboratively to clarify what truly matters to you, understand what’s been standing in the way, and build strategies that help you move forward with greater intention, balance, and self-compassion.

Improve your relationships

When life feels overwhelming, relationships are often the first place stress shows up, typically through irritability, emotional distance, or difficulty communicating. In therapy, we’ll work together to notice unhelpful patterns, clarify the kind of partner, parent, or friend you want to be, and take small, meaningful actions aligned with those values, even when emotions run high.

Life can be hard. Anxiety, guilt, and burnout make it harder. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and see whether working together feels like a good fit. With early morning and limited evening and weekend appointments available, therapy can fit into the realities of your work and family life.
